The usage of text or letters within an image has several purposes. It can be as an illuminated letter - or word - in which the text is the subject. It can be subtle incorporation of text within any image to add content to the work. In addition to these examples, other images on this site, and in the paintings, one can find the use of words - as example - in the woven paintings, some of the writings of Leif Erikkson are incorporated into the piece, First Millennium.
