These paintings were done on fabric (broadcloth treated to accept the paint).
The result is delightful either framed or as a wall hanging.

Note that the colors and nuances of modeling are limited in these .jpg files.
The actual painting quality would make too huge a file to open on your monitor.

In this case, the framer stretched the painting over 1/4 inch foam core and taped in place. This was then simply set into the frame.

 How it works:

1. through the mail

As with any other mail-order, send the order form (printable from this site) along with your check and photo. The photo will be returned with the finished painting. This method works for you if you are concerned with on-line transactions.

2. on line

Fill out order form at my secure site, and pay by Pay Pal, or credit card. The photo can be sent to me in an email.

In either case, you will be able to view and approve the completed work at this site prior to it being sent to you by UPS or regular mail.

time factor

Paintings will be finished and posted for your approval within two weeks of my receiving the order and photo. You should allow 3 to 4 weeks, especially if sending through the mail. If there is a date by which you need the painting (as for a special occasion gift), please let me know up front and I will do my best to accommodate your need.

additional child or pet

No problem: the additional child doesn't even have to be in the original photo. Simply send 2 or more photos and I can combine them into one painting.

 Your original photo:

The size of the face to be painted must be at least an inch with clear detail of facial features. The larger the snapshot or photo, the better the resulting painting. The eyes are the most important feature other than actual structure of the head, so they must be open, not in strong shadow, and in focus. Remember what I see is what you get. If the photo is digital, you can send by email or make a good quality printout.

Sending photos by e-mail:

I have found it is better to copy and paste the image into the body of the email. Because you are working digitally, either with camera or scanner, make a file with the face at least 3 or 4 inches in size. Then, copy that image from Photoshop or other software, and paste into the body. Don't worry if it seems too large - better large than too small. Please don't send attachments. I've tried many times to open an attached image file and the file extension just isn't recognized. Thanks
